Chess Puzzles

Chess puzzles are meant to improve your game. A puzzle a proposed situation set before you on a chess board and the goal is to solve the problem by forcing the opponent into checkmate in as few moves as possible. These are a great way to improve your strategic thinking.

Many chess puzzles are solvable within one move. These are often the best ones to use as a beginning chess player. Puzzles become harder as more moves are necessary.

Chess puzzles can be fun for both the serious chess player as well as the novice. Variation in the difficulty of the puzzle and the infinite possible situations offer challenges to everyone. These exercises will sharpen your chess playing skills.
